Amy Grausam, VMD

Small Animal Veterinarian

BVH Practice Owner

Dr. Amy Grausam was born and raised in Danville, Pennsylvania. She attended Albright College and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania of Veterinary Medicine and soon thereafter joined the team at Bloom Vet. Dr. Grausam enjoys spending time with her husband and four children, Christina, Branden, Anastasia and Elise. She also shares her home with her three dogs named Roslyn, Bella and Lily, and her cat  C.C..

Jennifer Kraft, DVM

Small Animal Veterinarian

BVH Practice Owner

Dr. Kraft has been one of the Practice Owners since 1997. She is a graduate from Cornell University. One of the things she values most about BVH is the high quality of medicine she is able to practice because of the educated and well trained staff. Like any other mother, Dr. Kraft loves to spend time with her family. Her husband Nelson, daughters Becca and Kate, and son Miles, all work together on their dairy farm. Her hobbies include running, playing with her Golden Retriever, Eli, and the 4-H program. She is excited to explore her interest in small animal surgery.

Julia Book, DVM

Small Animal Veterinarian

BVH Practice Owner

Dr. Julia Book graduated from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1994 and started working at Bloomsburg Veterinary Hospital the same year. She has an adventurous  Pit bull named Indy. Indy enjoys car rides and comes to work with her most days. Dr. Book enjoys spending time with her husband and children, riding bicycles, gardening and  driving Indy around in her car.

Stephanie Crawford, DVM

Small Animal Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Stephanie Crawford is a Bloomsburg native who joined BVH as a small animal veterinarian in 2004. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University and graduated with honors from the University of Illinois in 2001. Dr. Crawford places a strong emphasis on practicing high-quality, evidence-based medicine in a gentle and relaxed manner. Her professional interests include internal medicine and dermatology. Dr. Crawford enjoys numerous outdoor activities- hiking, trail biking, fly fishing and snowshoeing, loves to travel and is a huge Penn State fan. She shares her home with two cats, Fuzz and Peter.

Elizabeth Brooks, VMD

Small Animal Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Elizabeth Brooks is a 2001 graduate of Duke University (Go Blue Devils!) and a 2005 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. She spent two years in a private practice in Glenmore, PA before moving to Bloomsburg and joining the BVH team in 2007. Dr. Brooks is originally from San Juan Capistrano, CA. She enjoys fly-fishing, hiking, gardening, the great outdoors and spending time with her family and their cat Yam.

Todd Brooks, VMD

Small Animal Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Todd Brooks is a 1999 graduate of Juniata College in Huntington, PA and a 2003 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. He spent four years in a private practice in Chadds Ford, PA before joining the staff at BVH in 2007. He is a native of Central Pennsylvania and enjoys the outdoors. Dr. Brooks likes hunting, fishing, hiking, and working on cars. He is also an avid sports fan of all types but especially enjoys Notre Dame football, New York Yankees baseball, and Duke basketball. Dr. Brooks enjoys spending his free time with his family and their cat Yam.

Megan Creasy, DVM

Small Animal Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Megan Creasy was born and raised in Bloomsburg and joined BVH as a large animal veterinarian. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University in 2011 and is a 2015 graduate of Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Meg and her husband, Adam share their home with their 2 cats named Gus and Emma, and 1 dog named Khali. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking outdoors, and watching Penn State football games! Now that the Large Animal side of the practice no longer exists, she is focusing on her small animal career.

Laura Kielbasa, DVM

Small Animal Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Laura Kielbasa (yes, just like the polish sausage!) was born and raised here in Bloomsburg, PA and her family has trusted their own pets with BVH since she can remember. Dr. K graduated from Temple University in 2009 and earned her doctorate in veterinary medicine from the TUFTS Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. She spent her first 2 years as a mixed practitioner in Sunbury, PA but is now focusing on small animal medicine here in her hometown. She and her husband Corey share their home with three fluffy kitties: Simone, Arjen, and Lucy. In her free time, Dr. K loves gardening, horror films, nearly any kind of music (especially progressive rock/metal), and attending concerts with her husband.

Danielle Lehman, DVM

Small Animal Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Danielle Lehman graduated from Ohio State University in 2018. She joined our team in the summer of 2018. She enjoys being able to connect with pet owners on a daily basis. When Dr. Lehman is not at BVH, she works on her family’s dairy farm. Her favorite part about working at Bloom Vet is spending time with her coworkers.

BB

Office Cat

BB came to Bloom Vet in July of 2018 after his lifelong owner passed away. He is an older kitty, about 9 years old. During the day, BB enjoys stealing the office chairs, begging for treats, running through the hospital like a herd of elephants, and playing with his red blood cell stuffed toy. In the evening, he looks out the window at his cat girlfriend shredding our window screen. BB makes sure we all know when there are less than 27 kibbles in his bowl. He is always ready for a night on the town in his tuxedo.

Lizzie

Certified Veterinary Technician

Technical Staff Supervisor

Lizzie joined the Bloomsburg Veterinary Hospital team as a part-time veterinary assistant in 2008 while she attended college. She obtained an Associate’s Degree from Johnson College and passed her boards to become a Certified Veterinary Technician in 2009, when she then became a full-time technician. After several years she assumed the position of Technical Staff Supervisor. She also coordinates the community events of the hospital. Lizzie grew up on a farm in Greenwood Valley and currently resides in Drums. She enjoys creating new crafts and art projects, travelling, and baking in her spare time. Lizzie owns five cats, Andie, Oliver, Betty, Elliott, and Finn.

Kara

Certified Veterinary Technician

This Danville native joined the BVH team in 2015 as a Certified Veterinary Technician from Johnson College. She is an extremely hard worker and always looks to extend her knowledge in the veterinary field. Kara works in various areas of the hospital, which is an asset to BVH and the team. When she is not at the hospital, she is spending time with her friends and family.

Kerry

Veterinary Technician

Kerry has been part of the Bloomsburg Veterinary Hospital team as a veterinary technician since 1994 after graduating with honors from Allied Medical and Technical Institute. Throughout the years, Kerry has developed special interests in dentistry and senior pet wellness and is a great advocate of the Fear Free approach. When she is not at BVH dedicating herself to the health and happiness of our furry friends, she enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors and has a special appreciation for children’s literature.

Gina

Veterinary Technician

Gina has been with Bloomsburg Veterinary hospital since 2003. She moved from Reading where she had been a Veterinary technician since 1996. She enjoys animals, gardening and raising chickens and guineas.

Morgan

Certified Veterinary Technician

Morgan has been a Veterinary Technician at BVH since September of 2017. She later passed her examination to become certified. She is a great team player, who is always making patients as comfortable as possible. She values our Fear Free approach for each individual pet. When she is not at work, she enjoys hiking, fishing, and walking her dog, Nash.

Molly

Veterinary Technician

Surgery Coordinator

Molly has been a veterinary technician since 1989. She graduated from Penn State University in 1995 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Bioscience. She joined our BVH team in 2002. She is our Surgery Point Person as well as performing her daily duties as a veterinary technician. Molly shares her home with various animals including dogs, cats, an African Grey Parrot, a chinchilla, a ball python, and a small flock of chickens (the chickens are outside, of course!) In her free time, Molly breeds and shows AKC Champion English Springer Spaniels in Conformation, Obedience, and Rally events. She also volunteers with her certified Therapy Dogs at local nursing homes and schools.

Kristen

Veterinary Technician

Kristen came to us in June of 2017 from Rock Glen, PA. She was hired as a Veterinary Technician and she later passed her Board Exam to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. Kristen is recognizable by her sunny disposition and her work ethic. She values that BVH provides a “Fear Free” environment for both patients and clients. When Kristen is not working, she enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking. She also enjoys spending time with all of her animals: her pitbull Zayla and her three cats: Mr. Mittens, Tigger, and Milo.

Maddy

Certified Veterinary Technician

Maddy has been a part of our team since January of 2019. She was originally hired as a veterinary assistant and then later passed her boards to become a certified veterinary technician. She achieved her degree from Johnson college. Her favorite part about Bloom Vet is the Fear Free environment we offer to our patients and the teamwork among the staff. When she is not at work, she enjoys traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. She has 2 rescue dogs and 1 adopted cat from Johnson college.

Nadia

Veterinary Assistant

Nadia is a 2012 graduate of Delaware Valley College, Doylestown, PA where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She has experience in various aspects of animal care for both small and large animals. Nadia also participated in an internship at the safari at Six Flags, Jackson NJ. When not caring for animals she likes to workout, read, volunteer and spend time with her cat; Luna.

Gina

Veterinary Assistant

She joined Bloomsburg Veterinary Hospital in 2015. In her free time she enjoys relaxing with her husband, children, three dogs and two cats.

Kenna

Veterinary Assistant

Internet Coordinator

This local gal was hired April 10th, 2017 as one of BVH’s Veterinary Assistants. Kenna is a graduate of Columbia County Christian School and is currently enrolled in Penn Foster to become a certified Veterinary Technician. She is all about team work and loves that everyone at BVH is always willing to help each other out when needed. Especially since she is newer to the hospital, she appreciates everyone’s patience with her. When she is not hanging out with her family and rescue Pitbull, she loves to travel, hike, and take pictures.

Ariel

Veterinary Assistant

Ariel has been a Veterinary Assistant since May of 2018. She is currently an Undergraduate at Bloomsburg University and is enrolled at Penn Foster in the Veterinary Technician program. She enjoys educating clients on preventative care to keep their pets healthy. She values the hard work and care provided by our staff. She admires our doctors, the fun- yet professional work environment, and the friendships formed with her coworkers. She has 13 dogs and 2 ducks at home and she enjoys going on walks with her dog, Kyros.

Danielle

Veterinary Assistant

Danielle was hired in January of 2018 as a Veterinary Assistant. We met her while she was doing her clinical externship at our hospital through Penn Foster. We thought: “she would be a great addition to the team!” She is currently working toward becoming a Veterinary Technician. She is very dedicated to our standard of patient care. She is always willing to learn and expand her knowledge of the veterinary industry.  When she is not at Bloom Vet, she loves music, especially concerts and festivals! She attends several a year with her fiance, Mike. She is a girl of many hobbies including: exercising, reading, crocheting, cooking, and trail riding with her horse, Maia. Danielle and Mike have  2 cats,  2 dogs and 10 nieces and nephews that they love to spend time with! 

Sarah

Veterinary Assistant

Sarah has been a Veterinary Assistant since October of 2018. She graduated college in 2018 as a Certified Phlebotomist. She strives to keep clients well informed about their pets. She values the teamwork at BVH and that her coworkers feel like family. She applied for a job at BVH after bringing her own 2 dogs in for treatment. After that, she knew she wanted to work in a profession where she could show compassion to people every day. When she is not at work she loves painting, hiking, other outdoor activities, and petting every dog she sees. She comes from a big family, she has 2 older brothers, 1 older sister, and 1 younger sister.

Elora

Veterinary Assistant

Elora joined the BVH team summer of 2017 as a part time veterinary assistant, and later became a full time veterinary assistant in September of 2017. She graduated from Delaware Valley University in 2016 with a bachelors degree in Small Animal Science. Currently she is attending Penn Foster to become a certified Veterinary Technician. She lives with her boyfriend Devin and many animals. She has a cat named Korra and 3 tanks full of various kinds of fish. Her favorite are her goldfish; Drogon, Atlas, Atticus, and Simba. In her free time she likes to read and play video games. One thing that she likes most about working at BVH is that the staff is always there for one another and are very genuine in their mission to help their patients.

Sean

Veterinary Assistant

Sean has been a veterinary assistant at Bloomsburg Veterinary Hospital since September of 2018. He has his BS in Environmental Biology from Bloomsburg University. When he is not working at the hospital, Sean enjoys playing guitar, making ceramics, playing board games, and anything nature-related. He values the staff Bloom Vet and that we feel more like a family than coworkers. He has one kitty that he enjoys taking on walks every day.

Emily

Veterinary Assistant

Emily was hired in May of 2019 as a Veterinary Assistant after she earned her degree as a Certified Veterinary Assistant. When she is not working at the hospital, she enjoys volunteering her time at the Animal Resource Center. She also enjoys playing video games, and spending time with her 3 dogs and 1 cat. Emily really values that everyone at BVH works well as a team and they motivate her to do her best.

Our Facility Coordinator is a Bloomsburg native and Bloomsburg University graduate. As a long time employee, she has filled nearly all positions at the hospital and currently oversees day to day operations.

Stacey

Accounts Receivable Coordinator

Client Care Services Supervisor

Stacey was hired in 2004 as our Accounts Receivable Coordinator. She currently supervises the Client Care Services team. She was born in Harrisburg and raised in Williampsort, PA. She earned her degree from Bucks County Community College. Stacey values that she gets the chance the learn more about pets every day and she enjoys making a difference to clients. When she is not working, she also likes camping, watching the Yankee’s, and spending time with her family. She lives with her husband and two cats, Stanley and Lorah.

Renee

Client Care Services

Renee was born & raised in Pine Grove, PA.  She is a 1992 graduate of Bloomsburg University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology with a concentration in organizational relations. After marrying and starting a family, Renee was a stay-at-home mother and decided taking some vet tech courses online through Purdue University would be a fun, educational activity to do at home while caring for her children. Renee was happy to be hired at Bloomsburg Veterinary Hospital in February 2008. Renee lives on a beef farm with her husband Brian and two active teenage daughters:  one a freshman in college and the other will be entering high school. They have three barn cats, one high maintenance Siamese cross house cat Maui Blu, one sweet guinea pig Kinley Zoom, along with one handsome & agile yet goofy Australian Shepherd named Grayson aka Bubby. Her favorite activity is spending quality time with her family and pets. She also enjoys learning, reading, traveling, and is a fan of all types of music, but especially hip hop and R & B music genres. What she values most about BVH is having the opportunity to witness the animal/human bond on a daily basis AND being surrounded by bright, amazing, kind team members from a variety of backgrounds!

Client Care Services

Kristie has been a part of the Bloom Vet team since 2017. She has her Associates Degree in accounting from Central Penn Business School. Her favorite part about working at the hospital is her co-workers’ willingness to help and that she gets to learn more every day.  When she is not at work, she enjoys watching her kids play sports, reading, and watching movies. She shares her home with her husband, 2 children: Trent and Sarah, a cat: Sammie, and a turtle: Swimmie.

Amber

Client Care Services

Amber has been a client care representative since May of 2019. She was born and raised in Bloomsburg and received her BA in Psychology from Kaplan University. She lives with her husband, Matt, her 2 children: Hunter and Kalista, her 4 cats: Sausage, Nelson, Teekl, and Talia, and has 1 dog (also named Hunter). When she is not at work she enjoys reading a good book and spending time with her family. She values the caring approach BVH has towards patients and clients, and the family atmosphere of the hospital.

Rachyl

Client Care Services

Rachyl was hired as a CCS team member in July of 2019. She is originally from New Jersey, but has resided in Pennsylvania for 7 years. She graduated from Columbia-Montour Vo-Tech and is planning on going to Penn Foster to earn a degree as a certified veterinary technician. She values the staff at Bloomsburg Vet and feels they are more like family than coworkers to her. When she is not working, she enjoys slow-pitch softball and hunting. She also loves spending time with her 3 dogs and 3 cats, but mostly with her little brother, Chester.

Cindy

Kennel Attendant

Cindy was born and raised in Berwick, Pennsylvania. When not caring for our patients in the kennel, she enjoys caring for her pets at home. She also likes going to the movies, painting, and watching baseball games.

Julie

Client Care Services

Julie is a Columbia County native who was hired as a member of the Client Care Services team in March of 2018. She has a bachelor’s degree in Risk Management from Temple University and worked in the corporate world for 12 years. Julie and her family have been long time clients and fans of BVH so it is no surprise to learn that she has a house full of dogs and cats. When Julie was in need of a career change and we were hiring, she jumped at the chance to join our team and never looked back. Julie loves how her teammates have become a second family and how patient care is a paramount for everyone at BVH. In her free time, she enjoys photography, woodworking, and making all types of arts and crafts which can be especially helpful as BVH’s resident holiday decorator.
